Cacao Laboratory, based in New York, is a social-impact company dedicated to preserving the tradition and integrity of ceremonial-grade cacao. Through unique blends, cacao ceremonies, and educational programs, we strive to transform how cacao is enjoyed—promoting respect for premium quality and empowering our partners throughout the value chain. Now, Cacao Laboratory is also available in Europe, bringing its mission and products to a wider audience.

Our Journey with Cacao

Cacao Laboratory, or Cacao Lab for short, was co-created by Argentine siblings Federico and Florencia Fridman. They come from Bariloche, a charming Patagonian town famous for its artisanal chocolate. In 2016, Florencia traveled to Guatemala, where a transformative experience sparked her passion for cacao. She soon shared this inspiration with Federico in New York, and together they embarked on their journey.

With Florencia’s expertise in health and wellness and Federico’s experience in finance and entrepreneurship, they set out to build a brand that embodies a new business model—a space to innovate and explore fresh approaches to business. A true laboratory in every sense.

And now we are also available in Europe, thanks to Vivina Živa. Her passion for chocolate has been with her since childhood. In 2017, she first encountered ceremonial cacao and was able to connect her favorite food with spirituality. Živa is a yoga instructor, sound bath practitioner, and cacao ceremony facilitator.
